CHURCH.
NETWORK.
MOVEMENT.
Every day, Christians and their kingdom dreams are lost because
they don't have the resources or services to respond to their God-given callings.
The St. Pete Underground exists to inspire, equip, and empower local
missionaries to act on God's calling to create impact in our cities.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE PERSECUTED
with Jen Lantz, Board Chair and Microchurch leader with
the St. Pete Underground
For the 2020 year, we started a brand new series diving into the Beatitudes: the teachings of Jesus from the book of Matthew.
We had a different speaker covering each new theme for our Encounters each month. Due to to the year-long pandemic and for the safety of our movement, we postponed Encounter, but now we're back virtually.
A COLLECTION OF KINGDOM DREAMS
St. Pete Underground is a place for innovative ideas, deep leadership community and fearless pursuit of Jesus and his cause. We exist to inspire, engage, connect and empower missional people, churches and networks. Our name is a tribute to the underground church of history, characterized by sacrificial faith in the face of danger, oppression, and even death. We honor that memory and hope to represent that church in our city and around the world.

The network, from which we have multiplied in Tampa, is currently home to over 200 microchurches (small missional communities) in the Tampa Bay area and 11 city-wide sister movements around the world. We believe firmly that people make up the church, not buildings or budgets, or even leaders. When believers work together in sincere worship and genuine community to accomplish a part of the mission of God, they are the church.
